Dressing well comes hand in hand with making a good first impression. It is important to appear professional at all times, and recruiters will judge you on your appearance and the way in which you present yourself.

It is sad but sometimes very true: it is not what you know but who you know. It is good to have friends in high places, that can vouch for you and whose opinion matters in your industry.

5. Go to industry events
If there is a conference, or a product launch party, or any event where there are going to be lots of people in your trade, it is essential that you are also there as you may find recruiters there

6. Make people talk about you
Whether you have come up with an innovative idea or if you generated the most sales for your company, get your name out there.

7. Be careful
