You won’t get that promotion if nobody notices you! It is also important to develop on skills that aren’t your best as employers will be impressed if they see you are improving
  4. Start selling yourself! Nobody likes arrogance BUT self confidence is something completely different! If you are too modest nobody will get to see how great you really are!
  5. Do more than is required - Volunteer for more work, use your initiative and never do the bare minimum to get your self noticed
  6. Be positive - Believe in yourself and others will start believing in you.
  7. Bond with your boss - It is important to establish a relationship with your boss - you do not have to be best fiends but they have to make them want to promote you
  8. Act professionally - Earn yourself the kind of reputation that will want to make people promote you that is online and offline
  9. Get out of your comfort zone!  Although risks may be seen as scary, a risk taker will always stand out in the crowd- and you never know that risk you take may benefit your company!
  10. Be a problem solver - Try not to go to your boss with problems, show them that you can think outside the box and solve issues yourself!
  11. Network! Get your name out there, make people remember you and get friendly with people who may be able to help you.
